Byron’s Legacy
Each year, select junior golfers from around the world are awarded the Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award. This award recognizes the achievements of junior golfers who distinguish themselves with a high level of junior tournament play, as well as excellence in academics, exceptional character, and a commitment to community service.
Since 2008, there have been more than 60 recipients, including Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Sam Burns, Dylan Fritelli, Emiliano Grillo and Wyndham Clark.
Nominations for the 2026 Awards are now open. The deadline for nominations is January 16 and the application deadline is January 30. (Applications will be sent once nomination form is received.)
Award recipients will each receive a Byron Nelson International Junior Golf Award scholarship up to $2,500.
