BLADES BROWN EARNS PGA TOUR SPECIAL TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP

Just three days after his 19th birthday, Blades Brown continued to play beyond his years and shot a final-round 4-under 67 at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas, on Sunday to finish T-14 at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

That was good enough to earn 55 non-member FedEx Cup points to surpass the threshold and gain Special Temporary Membership on the PGA Tour, which means he can receive unlimited sponsors’ exemptions for the rest of the season (as well as make unlimited starts and will be added to the conditional reorder category post-Canadian Open). Not too shabby for the Tennessee native and promising talent, who skipped college and turned pro at age 17.
